Geo-Physical studies:

The company undertook a number of studies in geo-physics in

1. The Nuba mountains in Kaiga giro village
2. Northern Kordufan, Banat, Village
3. Eastern Sudan, Sinkat, Gabeit, Dardreib.

Electrical Well Logging

The company carried out electrical logging to help in identifying salty water and water reservoir in the following areas

1. Gazira state, Managil area to identify salt water
2. Western Kordofan to identify the underground water reservoir
3. Khartoum, police well to identify the quantity of ground water
4. Nile star, village of El hartiyab to identify to quantity of ground water
5. Omdurman and Bahri, the bergdar ice factory to isolate contaminated water

3rd AL-Rakhie for Pipes and Concrete foundation works

The company owns drilling equipments, they are three machines which can drill to a depth of 30 meter with circumference of 100 cm. These drilling machines are of two types :

• The first is Italian made which supporting stands.
• The second is British made with wheels.

The company technical staffs are qualified to handle all these machines to give maximum efficiency.

Achievements of Al-Rakhie International Co. Ltd.

The company has drilled hundreds of wells in Village, Towns, Farms, Gardens and Petroleum sites.

Al-Rakhie is the first Sudanese company which entered into joint venture with the Grater Nile Company for wells drilling business for three years effectively from 1999 up to 2002 according to contract No: 10102-855A

In these three years contract, the task of the company was to drill wells for water and for Oil production.

Also the company entered into joint venture with the Grater Nile Company for petroleum production and installation of pipe line from Heglig to Bashair port this contract was expected to end 2005. Included into the contract are the village wells for drinking water, the installation of water tanks and water pumps.

The company has participated in some of the socio-economic development program such as:

1. Agriculture bank projects for wells in western Omdurman
2. The Northern lifeline road project
3. Ministry of housing, Khartoum state
4. The city of Wad Madani Al kubra -Aljazeera state
5. Al Yakut Agricultural project
6. Al Rajah Agricultural project

In addition to the field wells, the company used all its facilities to drill drinking water which are operating at the moment.

For example, along the life line road, the company drilled 8 wells between Omdurman and Dongola.

In northern kordofan which has sandy oil, in the southern Sudan which has heavy rain fall, the company drilled over 10 wells in Mayom, Bentiu School, Wankai Abitem, Meiram, boat area.

The company also entered into joint venture with the Grater Nile Company for drilling wells in Western Kordofan for petroleum exploration at 200 feet depth. The company also drilled wells of 1700 feet depth in the petroleum area.

To sum up, the company has a lot of experience in cement works, water identification which were realized in Gazira, Omdurman market including the identification of polluted water.

I n Khartoum north and Omdurman areas, studies have been undertaken for the identification of polluted water and the location of the reservoirs.

The company also carried out electrical logging to identify the levels of salty water, these information and data help the company in the process of constructing the water pipes system.

The company owns more than one water well development machine and every machine is mounted with drilling rig, bailer and air compressor 350 psi,1000 CFM and a small car equipped with all necessary equipments, welding machine,generator,pump and water level measuring equipments.

There are engineers at the company with long experience in this field

The company had carried out number of wells cleaning in different areas of Sudan, including wells of over 20 years ago for example:

• wells in Mug lad were cleaned and became productive
• six wells in Gezira state belonging to the Ministry of Engineer Affair which were drilled 20 years ago, the company cleaned up and dated them and they are now in excellent conditions.
